An Impulsive Brush

I am an artist based in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham painting mostly in oil and acrylic. I paint very much on impulse. The urge to paint a subject can come from a sight, an impression, an idea, an image, a piece of music. Something occurs to me, and I immediately set out to paint it. That is why you’ll find quite an eclectic range of pictures in my show. As a keen walker and lover of the countryside, it is natural that landscape is the predominant subject of my paintings. However, my brush and palette will venture spontaneously across many other themes and experimental styles, and I never know for sure what will next come into being on my easel.

I am delighted to exhibit my work at this charming little gallery. Unfortunately, I am in the same situation as last year because of the lockdown restrictions. I had to cancel then but decided to go ahead this year. I am sorry I cannot invite you to view inside, but I hope you can see enough through the window to enjoy. You can also view this exhibition online.

If you are interested in my work and would like to chat without obligation, I would be pleased to do so if you ring my mobile or contact me through the gallery or my website.
